Help Ensure Everyone Has Food on Their Plate this Thanksgiving.
As the holiday season approaches, it is a time when we reflect on the importance of community, togetherness, and the simple joy of sharing a meal with loved ones. Yet, for many families in our community, the holidays can be a time of stress and uncertainty as they struggle to afford the essentials that make this season special.
We have teamed up with Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation to feed children and families this Thanksgiving, who are struggling with food insecurity.
For $50 you can provide a Thanksgiving meal for two individuals who might otherwise go without. For $100 you can brighten the holiday table for a family of four. Your contribution brings joy and nourishment to a family, creating lasting memories this season.
Thompson Restaurant will cook and deliver these Thanksgiving meals to children and families struggling with food insecurity through our partnership with NWFCU. This November, customers have the option to round up their bill in store. This round up will also be donated to Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation, who empower youth to achieve their goals by supporting their health, well-being and education.
The Northwest Federal Credit Union (NWFCU) Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth to achieve their goals through health, well-being, and education. The charitable arm of the NWFCU, the Foundation has awarded over $2.1 million in scholarships to more than 430 students, transforming lives and futures since 2004.
Through strategic partnerships, NWFCU Foundation conducts quarterly outreach drives, ensuring under-resourced students have access to essential weekend meals, hygiene products, shoes, school supplies, and winter gear. The Foundation also supports youth through a mentoring program which includes immersive field trips that nurtures personal growth and educational enrichment. Their newest pillar, The N.E.E.D.S. Project fulfills critical needs in our schools.
